LOLER Training

By law, employers have a general duty to ensure that the health and safety of their employees and members of the public is not put at risk as a result of the work that they do. Employees also have a duty to look after their own health and safety, and that of anyone who might be affected by their work.

LOLER regulations state that every tail-lift that is likely to lift a person should have a Statutory Thorough Examination (STE) every 6 Months. This STE should be carried out by a competent person (Regulation 9 294 of L113 safe use of Lifting Equipment States).

You should ensure that the person carrying out an STE has such appropriate Practical and theoretical knowledge and experience of the lifting equipment so that they can detect defects and weaknesses and to judge there effects on safety and continued use of the lifting equipment.

On completion of the LOLER course and on passing the current tests, engineers will receive LOLER certification.
