Lifting decks are work equipment to the driver/operators and in this respect must be maintained under PUWER Regulations (Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations). The person that carries out the work or operates the equipment needs to prove they are competent. We, at S & T Services UK Ltd, have put a training course together to certify persons trained by us are a competent person to carry out repairs and maintenance to Cartwright, Don Bur & Gray Adams lifting decks.

- We start with establishing what the candidate knows and doesn’t know about Double Decks
- Theory, we discuss the comprehensive check list for carrying out an STE (Statutory Thorough Examination)
- Each candidate receives a workshop manual for Double Decks.
- A USB that you download the info from it to your computer which has much more information about decks
- Practically carry out an STE and service on the Deck the customer provides
- Carry out the process of a weight test
- A theoretical exam is conducted at the end to prove theoretical competency
- Our contact details are given to further assist each person trained moving forward.

- A refresher is required after 3 years inline with our CPD accreditation and insurances.
